Launching Connections™ for Autistic Young Women

Launching Connections is a supportive, skills-based therapy group for autistic young adult women. The group offers a warm, unmasked environment to process and cope with the mental health effects of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world. Autistic women often experience higher rates of anxiety, depression, and burnout, especially while navigating relationships, managing the demands of adulthood, and pursuing personal and professional goals.

This group provides space to be understood and affirmed, while learning tools for emotional regulation, self-advocacy, and navigating complex life transitions. By connecting with others who share similar experiences, participants can build confidence, foster authentic relationships, and feel less alone in their journey. Launching Connections emphasizes neurodivergent-affirming care and celebrates each person’s identity, unique interests, and lived experiences. We work on developing sustainable systems and strategies for managing daily life, living authentically, and creating meaningful connections.

The group is facilitated by Dr. Ashlee Reid, a developmental psychologist who provides neurodivergent-affirming care and specializes in working with autistic individuals across the lifespan, from childhood through adulthood.
